NiuLife Polished Coconut Shell Bowl

From the Award Winning NiuLife and their hard working team in the Solomon Islands, these stunning polished coconut shell bowls are about as Sustainable as you can get.

They do an amazing job of utilising their coconut harvest. Small community owned groups collect and then split them open. They grind up coconut meat and expell the oil which they sell as as virgin coconut oil and also process to make MCT oil. Some of the coconut shells are then hand polished into these splendid bowls.

Many storage and display uses around the house, not just for serving food.

Every time a bowl like these is used it means that you are using something natural and PERFECT for the job instead of digging holes in the ground to mine metal ores or drilling holes in the sea floor for oil to make plastics. That’s why you can be so proud of your coconut bowl.

And to top it off they are fair trade items, meaning that the workers are receiving a fair income.

Care:
Wash with warm soapy water and dry.

Materials and Environment:
Nothing but coconut!

End of life:
If the bowl is no longer usable it can be put into your garden mulcher or in with your green waste.

Your order will be packaged in plastic-free, all plant-based materials. Packaging materials will depending on the size and weight of your order:

•     Kraft paper bag, sealed with Kraft Tape.
•     Cardboard box sealed with Kraft Tape.
•     Recycled cardboard  sealed with Kraft Tape.
•     Cotton bag, sewn shut (if you carefully unpick the stitching then you’ll be receiving a free re-usable cotton tote bag!).
