Whether it is to accompany aromatherapy, vaporiser, diffuser or for use as home or shop display.

Made from local timber at zero waste store’s solar powered workshop.

We can also customise this product with engraving or other design variations, feel free to contact us to discuss custom made designs or .

Bottles not included – for display purposes only.

This unit can hold up to 9 of the largest 25mL bottles that we know of

Care & Maintenance:
To show your essential oil bottle holder some love, wash it with a brush and a little warm soapy water. Then dry  and apply some oil. Leave the oil to soak in for a few hours. Most plant or nut oils are fine and whatever you have on hand will do. We use a mixture of MCT oil with bees wax and candalilla wax. We choose MCT oil (made from coconut oil) because it has better resistance to oxidation than most oils and it has almost no odour.

Dimensions:

External – 48mm wide x 330mm long x 40mm high

Internal – 300mm long x 33mm wide

Materials and Environment:

Made from Swamp Mahogany timber (from Sunshine Coast QLD), hand finished and coated with Food Grade MCT oil (from coconut oil), with beeswax for protection and candalilla wax for gloss.

End of life:
If no longer usable, dispose of with your garden waste. It will be ground up and composted, becoming food for plants. If your local council does not accept wood to be put in with the garden waste and the board cannot be re-purposed then it can be disposed of with general waste, it will become food for fungi.

Whats great about this product:
Look closely and you’ll see how the Art interacts with the grain of the timber to produce a three-dimensional effect. The annual growth rings are hard and resist the heat from the engraver. In this way, each Serving Board is unique.

Packaging:
Your order will be packaged in plastic-free, all plant-based materials. Packaging materials will depending on the size and weight of your order:

  • Kraft paper bag, sealed with Kraft Tape.
  • Cardboard box sealed with Kraft Tape.
  • Recycled cardboard  sealed with Kraft Tape.
  • Cotton bag, sewn shut (if you carefully unpick the stitching then you’ll be receiving a free re-usable cotton tote bag!).

Essential Oil Holder Live Edge – Home or Shop Display https://zerowastestore.com.au/products/essential-oil-holder-live-edge/ https://zerowastestore.com.au/products/essential-oil-holder-live-edge/#respond Sun, 16 Jul 2023 06:23:58 +0000 https://zerowastestore.com.au/?post_type=product&p=7284 This is the “Live Edge” version of our essential oils rack.

It is made from the edge of the timber slab so you have a natural edge. In furniture this is called a “live edge”. Creating these allows us to use the timber slab all the way to the edge and it creates a wonderfully unique product.

We sell two versions, one which has no lip at all and one which has some lip to retain the bottles. We feel like the no-lip version is perfect as a shop display and the units with a lip are better for people who want their bottles to be more secured.

Chose your preferred option from the dropdown box, either no-lip or some-lip.

Bottles not included – for display purposes only.

Serving Board Medium – Pacific Baza https://zerowastestore.com.au/products/serving-board-medium-pacific-baza/ https://zerowastestore.com.au/products/serving-board-medium-pacific-baza/#respond Sun, 16 Jul 2023 00:23:40 +0000 https://zerowastestore.com.au/?post_type=product&p=7271 This Pacific Baza was photographed in the Sunshine Coast, QLD. They hunt the treetops in their family group, searching for stick insects or frogs. They are one of the most stunning birds with barring across the breast, a piercing yellow eye and a distinct crest.

These medium boards are machined to shape in our solar-powered machine shop and then the art is permanently burned into surface of the wood, no plastic paint is used in the design.

They look great out on display! You may never want to put it away inside a cupboard.

Hand finished and coated with Food Grade MCT oil (from coconut oil), with beeswax for protection and candalilla wax for gloss. We can also provide a board without the beeswax as a vegan choice. Please add a note in your order if you wish to receive a board without beeswax.

We can also manufacture custom made boards with your own artwork, contact for details.

Usage:
Can be used as a serving board but could also be used as a cutting board. The engraving is permanent however the picture would not last forever if used as a cutting board as the cut marks would eventually remove the top surface of the wood along with the engraved artwork.

Care & Maintenance:
To show your board some love, wash it with a brush and a little warm soapy water. Then dry the board and apply some oil. Leave the oil to soak in for a few hours.
